These Sods Must Be CrazyFlatOut 4’s arcade handling model is a bit light but mostly adequate, though its AI is slightly less so. It didn’t take long at all until I was getting very bored of seeing the same track, either forwards or in reverse, every few races. The big problem with the tracks is that they’re quite limited (even with reverse versions) and they don’t really do a lot to distinguish themselves from each other. The tracks themselves are reasonably reminiscent of those found in the old games – debris-filled courses snaking through forests, factories, cluttered lumber yards, a dusty red desert, and frozen towns – but none are especially memorable. The racing itself is a bit less interesting overall. It’s good that FlatOut 4 packs a bespoke, same-screen multiplayer stunt mode because if any mode is going to claim even the temporary attention of groups of rowdy revheads and Rocket League lovers, it’ll be this one. Scoring exactly 25 points takes some serious tactics. You can either tackle these stunts solo, seeking to rule the online leaderboards, or hit them up in pass-the-controller couch multiplayer. I’m confused by the likes of long jump, however, which has a net at the end of the landing zone and thus a maximum distance that can be regularly reached and never beaten. I also really like the golf minigame (scoring a hole-in-one is truly satisfying, and so is nailing your driver’s landing and subsequent slide to reach the furthest greens). ![]() I particularly dig ‘Finnish Pins’, which demands both skill and strategy to achieve the correct score of exactly 25. These ragdoll physics games are dating a bit but they’re still good fun here, and the stadium is filled with 12 ridiculous, driver-tossing minigames like curling, beer pong, billiards, and more. boy was he arrogant.“It’s definitely the stunt arena where FlatOut 4 sticks closest to the series’ earlier spirit. i could have chucked him into the yellowstone river like a frickin rock. i admitted my wrong doings, but he just wouldnt quit about how i dont need to be speeding through town even though it was 2am. he pulls me over and acts like hes 10 feet tall and bullet proof. started slowing down from 70 when i saw the 45 mph sign and there was a frickin cop RIGHT BY the sign.60 in a 45 zone. I did, however, just get a speeding ticket coming into gardiner on our way into cooke a couple weeks ago. i have yet to encounter an officer with a big ego around cooke. we BSed for 20 minutes and they drove off. he asked how the trip was, if we saw or caused an avi's, and how we liked our new skidoos haha. my buddy got a ticket, but we were level headed about it and so was the officer. we got stopped in the back country by an officer, and even though one of the sleds was not stickered, the guy was still nice. Last year we had our wives out there, and my buddy flat out forgot to buy a sticker for his wifes sled. i have always been nice to them, and never caught a bit of grief from them around cooke city or in the cooke backcountry. If you guys do encounter a ranger, game & fish officer (whatever their title is), be nice to them. Because your wife probably needs groceries. ![]() My wife, who no longer snowmobiles, says if you can't afford the $35 stay the f. Park County Wyoming shoulders the plowing cost. Park County Wyoming is gracious enough to plow 212 from the junction to Pilot and the lots without asking for funds from the trails fund. Remember the Pilot parking and trail to Cooke is totally funded by your registration dollars. So support your passion and register your sled if you ride Wyoming. ![]() If you pay a FS fine, it goes to their general fund. Grooming, parking areas, staking, rest rooms, trail clearing and fighting for your right to use "YOUR" public lands. By purchasing a Wyoming registration you are directly putting dollars on the ground supporting your passion. That is huge dollar support for our trail system.
